Hello everyone! My name is Katie, and I am currently a Junior at the University of Mary Washington. This semester, I have taken part in a URES, in which I have collaborated with Professor Och and helped plan the Venice and Croatia trip for May 13-27th! Part of my job was to research and provide what I would consider to be the best things about Venice. Through my research this semester, I have learned so much about the timeless history of Venice and cities along the Croatian coast. I have also learned exactly how much work goes into planning a study abroad trip. The “Katie’s Favorites” section of this blog is where I have submitted my research over the semester and provided a student’s perspective on what to see, where to go, and what to do in Venice and Croatia!
This page is dedicated to the “15 Most Interesting Churches of Venice.” Here you will find my list of Venetian churches, ones that I would want to visit upon going to Venice. Whether they are known for their art, architecture, location, or just the story behind their consecration, these 15 are the most worth visiting in my opinion! Enjoy!
